Sunday Communities, 9:30am


Communities are at the heart of our life together here at Highlands.  Communities are how we make our growing church feel small at Highlands!

Our Communities meet each week on the 2nd and 3rd floors during the Sunday School hour, 9:30 – 10:30 AM, for fellowship, prayer and the study of the Scriptures. They also get together at other times for fun and service as a group, and it’s the primary place where we seek to care and support one another in the joys and challenges of daily life.Although each individual Community centers on the challenges and joys of following Christ in a different season of life, you’re welcome to attend any Community you wish. We currently have five Communities meeting on Sunday mornings. (Please note: The descriptions that follow are intended only to provide a profile of the life-season of the majority of each community’s participants–you’re welcome to attend any Community that you wish…really!)

How to Choose a Community

Sometimes people ask for help in deciding which Community is right for them.  Here are three options to try as you make your choice:

  • Option A:  Use the profiles listed beside each Community’s name to select the Community whose season of life matches yours (especially note the age & stage of children)
  • Option B: Select the Community with people of similar age to you
  • Option C: Attend the Community you want to attend, regardless of season of life or age of participants

In other words, just pick one!

Sunday Communities

  • College (college age young adults, working or in school)—Room 209
  • The Bridge- for young adults, single & just married in their 20′s, no kids yet  - Room 306
  • The Well (20′s-early 30′s, grad school/early career, single & married with infants)–Room 212
  • Impact (young adults, with infants/toddlers/early elementry, late 20s’ to 30′s)—Room 211
  • Seekers (adults with children in the school years, elementary-high school, early 30′s-late 40′s, mid-career)—Room 301/302
  • CrossRoads (adults with children in college & beyond, mid-40′s and up, mid-career – retirement)—Room 210
