Every woman at Highlands has unique gifts. We encourage everyone to get involved in one of these ministries. Please click here to express your interest in any of these committees.
Annual Women’s Retreat Committee (Plans all aspects of the annual retreat, usually held the last weekend of January or the first weekend of February. Includes planning, registration, decorating, recreation, break- out groups, social activities, etc.)
Sisterhood/ Women’s Special Events Committee (Plans four dinner meetings/ events for the women of the church during the year. Includes planning agenda and program, registration, decorating, greeting, cooking, serving, and clean-up.)
Women’s Spiritual Growth Committee (Oversees the Bible Study curriculum, Book Club books and speakers. Coordinates Bible Study teachers.)
Book Club (Helps to host a gathering for women to come together and discuss a book of common interest.)
Mercy Ministry/ Outreach Committee (Plans, promotes, gathers and delivers donations to Women’s Ministry-sponsored food, clothing and school supply drives in addition to outreach opportunities during the year.)
Card Ministry Committee (Provides help in sending illness and bereavement cards, cards to mothers of new babies, and cards and care packages for college students from Highlands’ families.)
Hospitality Committee for Funerals and Receptions (Plans, decorates, greets, cooks, serves, and cleans-up for special events such as church wide receptions and Presbytery-wide gatherings, etc.)
Hospitality Committee for Inquirers Class (Plans, decorates, greets, cooks, serves, and cleans-up for Inquirers Weekends.)
Sanctuary Flowers Committee (Purchases and arranges flowers for display in front of the pulpit for Sunday services and special events.)
