Sunday, October 18, was Mercy Sunday at Highlands!
We had the opportunity to hear from representatives of local ministries that Highlands supports and partners with throughout our community. Throughout the morning, ministry representatives were available at display tables in the Atrium, where members could learn more about their work, ask questions, and discover meaningful ways to get involved. Representatives from several ministries, including Jackson Leadership Foundation, Gateway Rescue Mission, Jackson Street Ministry, Canton's Good News Club, French Camp, Joni and Friends, and Lifeline Children's Services, also visited our Sunday School Communities. They shared encouraging updates, offered insight into the needs of those they serve, and helped us see how God is at work through these ministries and how we can pray, serve, and get involved. We are thankful for each of these ministry partners and the important work they do in our community. Our prayer is that Mercy Sunday will encourage us to continue looking beyond the walls of Highlands for opportunities to share the love and mercy of Christ with those around us!
Below are the local mercy ministries Highlands supports and partners with. We encourage you to learn more about their work and prayerfully consider how you might get involved.
