Michael Hawkins

Michael grew up moving around the U.S. including IL, IN, AL, AZ, and finally MS for college at Belhaven University. During college, he worked at Twin Lakes Summer Camp, where he met his wife, Abigail. Upon graduating, Michael worked in the admission office at Belhaven University for 11 years, before answering the call to go into full-time vocational ministry. Michael and Abigail have three children: Obadiah, Adah, and Simon. Michael is currently enrolled in the MDiv program at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking, and playing any kind of sport!

Michael’s desire and vision for the Youth program at Highlands is to encourage a community that worships our Creator and Savior, with sound teaching from the Word of God, with every student cared for and a focus on reaching others with the hope we have in Christ Jesus.
