When Tim and Bev Hart were married in 2017, the Lord began leading them as a couple into new areas of service in His church. In 2021, after “attending” a virtual MTW Missions Conference in the fellowship hall of their church in Hopewell, Virginia, the Harts were led to further explore the possibility of cross-cultural ministry and applied to serve with MTW on a long-term basis. When Tim and Bev were seeking a field in which to serve, they were rather surprised to receive a call from team leader Julian Russell, from The Bahamas. Upon further discussions with the Russells and a visit to Nassau, Tim’s and Bev’s hearts were gripped with a love for the Bahamian people and a deep desire to see some of these badly broken urban communities transformed by the gospel of Jesus. It has become apparent that God used their vocational backgrounds (Tim in IT project management and Bev in Social Services) to provide skills and experiences that have been very helpful in their current service in The Bahamas. Afterserving during several summers and completing the training and itineration process, Tim and Bev moved to Nassau to stay in August, 2024. The Harts have been blessed with five adult children (seven including in-laws) and six grandchildren, living in various parts of the United States. Tim and Bev enjoy connecting with family by means of technology, taking walks (especially outdoors, when it’s cool enough), reading, music, puzzles, andgetting to know all kinds of great people!
